Different types, approaches and definitions of Herbalism

So Herbalism is practiced in many different ways and means many different things for different people. What are these ways, what place are they coming from (and where on the AQAL map is their main focus), and where is the truth and partiality in them?

It might be good to put a heading for each approach, e.g. TCM, or Phytotherapeutic, and then perhaps give center of gravity (level), strengths, focus/partiality, etc.
